Did anyone else notice the repeat LR question?
Did anyone else notice the repeat LR question? The stimulus was verbatim, but the question was changed.

repeat from a previous test. I remember thinking that it was word for word...and then remembered what the conclusion was going to be after the first sentence. I was right about the conclusion. But the question stem and the choices were not the same.

Mind saying from which prep test? That way we could look through it and find the question ourselves without you saying it.

I had a repeat question on the same passage. Think it was RC.

Kafka question was whether or not they should burn his unpublished works or something after he died compared to some other author...longdaysjourney wrote:Question I'm thinking of was on the real deal....maybe this is a thing that they are starting to do? Are you guys talking about the museum's purpose question.
I struggled with two answer choices: only get the best paintings vs to fulfill purpose, not necessary to get painting from every period. Thoughts?

So, just to clarify, this one was on the EXP section?
I do remember a question on a PT about whether or not it is a museum's right to sell painitings they don't believe are of a certain high quality.

Youre always going to see repeats. Every test there's a goddamn question about dinosaur extinctions or global warming or car accidents. It's all the same stuff.

True...wtf is with LSAC's preoccupation with dinosaurs, artists that blend elements of two disparate art forms, endangered species, and fossil records?gdane5 wrote:Youre always going to see repeats. That can't be right. Otherwise the entire test would be about fishing and explosions.Destined wrote:Well LSAC does hire laid off Discovery Channel employees.....marsilni wrote:True...wtf is with LSAC's preoccupation with dinosaurs, artists that blend elements of two disparate art forms, endangered species, and fossil records?gdane5 wrote:Youre always going to see repeats. Re: Did anyone else notice the repeat LR question?
I noticed during prep at least one question would pop up all the time and the only element that changed were the occupations of the people in it. I believe it was a "solve the discrepancy" question

Re: Did anyone else notice the repeat LR question?
"So and so is the best person we have who does this job, but he has bad results more often than anyone else." "Oh, it's because he's assigned the hardest tasks." "Most of the complaints are about him, too." "It's because he's the only one who does it."
"Cigarette smoking is bad for you. Not because it causes lung cancer. Because it causes heart problems."
"I really, really don't think that a meteorite killed the dinosaurs. I think it was pretty much anything else: weather changes, volcanic eruptions, or maybe hallucinogenic drugs. Here, organize these dinosaur plushies into 'In' and 'Out" categories and decide on their colors, while we're talking about dinosaurs."
"Native Americans have property rights issues. It's because of their tendencies towards communal ownership and oral (not written) agreements. The courts have problems recognizing this. Here, read about 30 passages about this."
I could go on.

Re: Did anyone else notice the repeat LR question?
I believe what the OP is talking about are questions with identical logical structure and question stems but based on different material. What you gents are talking about are questions using recycled material. Not quite the same.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
