APPLY OR WAIT???

Postby pittsburgh2323 » Sat Oct 09, 2010 9:23 pm

Thank you all for this amazing forum!! I've really enjoyed talking to you guys for the past month-- now I want to ask the ultimate question.. apply or wait??

GPA- 3.83
LSAT- Between 168- 172

I'm feeling pretty solid about my resume- I've got solid internships, one at the Supreme Court, and good recommendations- also, I'm from Missouri, and I know that the top northeastern schools only have between 1-3% of student from the midwest- will that help me at all? Based on your all's experience where do you think this will get me? If I want to get into the top schools should I apply now or try to get a 174+ in December??? Thanks so much!!

168 - Retake

170 - Apply and retake/cancel if you don't think you aced the retake.

172 - Apply.

I would wait till you at least get your scores. It really depends on what schools your going for. I was getting 171-174 on PTs but if I got a 168 of 169 I would go ahead and apply because it should be enough to get me into my favorite school even if not my highest ranked school. If you really couldn't see yourself anywhere but HYS or CCN then go ahead and retake if you don't get the 172.

pretty much aiming for as high as I can get... hls would be awesome, obviously. I've heard very different opinions on what being from the Missouri means-- I talked to one guy who said it's worth between 1-2 LSAT points, but I think that's way generous. What do you guys think??
