Atlas LSAT is being re-named Manhattan LSAT on Monday...

Postby Atlas LSAT Teacher » Wed Oct 06, 2010 4:43 pm

Hey TLSers,

We wanted to let everyone know that on Monday we're changing our name to Manhattan LSAT. We're sad to see our almost-anagram name go, but we're psyched to get our new name. If you're interested in the what and why, I've put it below. But, perhaps the most important thing is that if you use some of our online resources, like our explanation banks or if you play our LSAT Arcade, the links to those will still work - we'll automatically re-direct you to the correct page on the new site.

Thanks for everyone who's given us a shout-out on TLS, and good luck to everyone taking the LSAT this weekend! We'll host a free review of the LSAT about a month later, so if you're interested...http://www.atlaslsat.com/EventShow.cfm? ... ventID=398

And here's the skinny on the name change:

Why the change?

Several years ago, Manhattan GMAT created a sister company to tackle the LSAT. To ensure that this new company developed its own reputation and developed its own LSAT-specific program, it was decided to run this new company separately and give it a distinct name. Atlas is all grown up now and is ready to take its place alongside Manhattan GMAT. We’ve also launched Manhattan GRE, and with three related companies it makes sense for us to have a shared name so people know who we are.

What’s going to change:
• Our name
• Our logo
• Our e-mails (studentservices@manhattanlsat.com, for example)
• Our website address (though we’ll automatically re-direct you to our new site, so no worries if your fingers memorized “www.atlaslsat.com”)

What’s not going to change:
• Our focus on great teaching.
• Our LSAT-specific curriculum.
• Our LSAT-specific audition and training program.
• Your account login, your access to all of our awesome online resources.
• Our telephone number: 646-254-6480

As the great score wait begins, we've changed our name, and our site and explanation forums will be a bit wonky for a bit. For anyone who uses them, thanks for your patience.
