Main-Point / Conclusion ...how to address them? Forum

I dont get them wrong that often... but i realized i do spend extra time on them.... when i get one how should i address them?

In LR or RC? Im assuming youre asking this in regards to LR.

The best thing to do is to deconstruct the argument to its bits and pieces. Look at everything and figure out how they work with each other. Ask yourself how one statement ties into another. Most importantly, ask yourself what the argument is trying to say. Keep the big picture in mind.

I've found that besides the obvious ones in the simpler RC, main points usually consist of the overall theme+bits of what the most forceful paragraph says. Some will be very close in overall meaning, but their last sentence may describe something that while is in the stimulus, is not a MAIN POINT but a trap.

its weird i just took PT 58 Sept 2009 .... i got -5 on LR1 and -1 on LR2

Just my experience but I always seem to find main point in LR following a "But" or "However" or in an independent clause. My advice would be "find" the Kaplan Mastery main point section somewhere, do it all in one sitting (there's only 30 or so questions) and you'll probably know what to look for and not miss another one again.
