Quick question on a LR Q (PT55)

Postby WonkyPanda » Tue Sep 28, 2010 9:04 pm

On PT55, LR section 1 #22:

If D had said 'easily angered' instead of 'easily frustrated,' would it be able to weaken the claim then? It seems to me like it would and the slight change of 'frustrated' tossed this one out the dumpster.

No, because that would simply strengthen the correlation between the two factors that the argument concludes there is a causal relation between. To undermine the causation concluded in this argument, you would need to challenge the correlation or provide a possible alternative cause (which is what answer choice (E) accomplishes).

Great question. Someone recently asked about this question on the Atlas Forum. So it seems that everyone has reserved the high 50's for PT's before the October LSAT. Good work and good luck.

I love how so many of the super late night / early morning posts are LSAT related. Clearly, none of us can sleep.
