"if and only if" not the same as "only if", right?

Postby WeX11788 » Tue Sep 28, 2010 8:35 pm

I haven't seen a game with "only if" in a whiiiiiiiile but I've been getting a lot of "if and only if" and I want to be certain that a simple "only if" is not indicative of a double arrow <---->

J only if X should be diagrammed as

J ---> X

Right? Thanks.

you got it right. Whenever you see "only if" translate it to a "then"

"G helps move S if, but only if, H helps
move R."

PT 56, Game 2

Gs----> Hr and Hr-----> Gs

Right?
