I wasn't actually reviewing your posts for spelling and grammar. If I had been, I would have had quite a few more corrections to offer you, I'm sure. However, as I was reading through this thread, you were consistently misspelling a lot as alot. The consistency and frequency of this error (didn't see an "a lot" anywhere in your posts) led me to believe it wasn't just a typo. If you're consistently misspelling a common word, someone should point it out to you so that you don't misspell it when it actually counts .

I know, just being sarcastic. Its kinda of annoying when your asking for advice and people like to nit pick for spelling and other minor things that are irrelevant to the focus of the post. (you can probably find spelling errors in this post if you look for some.)

Yes, it is difficult when YOU'RE asking for advice and people don't just offer you advice on your question, they also offer you advice about fixing a consistent error in your spelling that could hurt you if you used it on your law school applications.

In all seriousness, I generally try to desist from commenting on people's grammar. Normally if I see a you're/your, an "alot" or whatever, I just ignore it. Partly because people get irritated and defensive (somewhat understandably so), and partly because if people haven't figured it out by now, they're not going to learn because someone told them about it on the internet.

I made an exception this time because this "alot" phenomenon seriously perplexes me. How did this originate and why have people not figured out it's wrong throughout university and through spellcheck?

It wasn't bitchy. Some people just can't take criticism.

If there's some internet norm against calling people out on spelling or grammar errors, there's probably another norm against calling people out for not knowing that norm.

Today is also the deadline to cancel a registration for a partial refund if you don't want to postpone your test date.
Sunday September 19th is the deadline to reschedule your test date if you are registered for the October test and not ready.
The 19th is also the deadline to change test centers for the October test.

poi hit the games with everything you got. what games give you the most trouble? If you know, do as many of them as possible, but dont forget about the other ones. Ranking the games is important, and if you leave the hardest one for last, then you;ll be able to spend as much time as possible on it. Focus on games, but dont neglect the other sections.

i think you have the ability to score a 170. with your gpa, you have a legitimate shot at almost any school. I say take the test, and if you get stuck on the games section ( and hopefully one wont be the exp) and know you bombed it, cancel the score and take in december. ( if you get the exp section, start a thread to try to figure out which one is the experimental right away when you get back from the lsat). before you leave, jot down some notes about the games to help you figure it out. ( do this after the test in the sanctuary of the bathroom so no one will know).

I think it is. I was struggling with games for a while but i have lately been averaging -1 per section. I practiced games on a daily basis. I took out LG sections from prep tests and took them timed. I would then review each game and see what caused me problems. After a while you begin to see what kind of mistakes you are making. For me i was not always internalizing the rules in the beginning, i would not spend enough time looking for deductions, and i would make stupid mistakes. I would keep this in the back of my head whenever i did games and eventually it became natural. Just keep going at.

You know.. I am scheduled to take the LSAT on October 9th and only studied minimal, I am afraid and I do not quite understand the method behind all of this. I am NOT a good standardized tester. I may be wrong here, but my strategy is that I am going to answer the first 3 questions accurately and pick a favorite letter of the day for the last few on the sections, each section. If time permits, I will only back and only attempt to figure it out then.

I am not going to mark my paper.. skip over questions then come back and I refuse to run out of time. Remember there is no penalty for guessing, but huge penalty for NOT guessing.

I pray I can pull this off.. but am I afraid.. without a doubt! Am I going to get sick? No.. I mean you only have 2 choices here.. you take it or you dont... I learned in Pharmacy school, dont study the day before.. go to bed early and on the day of the exam, you either know it or you dont! Why confuse yourself anymore and try to cram outside the door... My GPA in Pharmaceutical school was 3.6 .. I feel for all of US out there in LSAT land.. but my brain is having a hard time switching modes..
