Reading Comp is destroying me

Post by WeX11788 » Tue Sep 14, 2010 1:29 pm

Absolutely killing me. Here and there I'll have a good set of passages and do well, but a majority of the time I have trouble finishing and get a lot wrong.

Besides repeated random practice, any other good tips?

Read more, not LSAT material but general reading. Start reading the New York Times and WSJ. Then ask yourself LSAT-like questions about them. Novels don't count unless they're James Joyce or Dostoevsky level of prose.

I've been reading Nietzsche and Rand between classes and study sessions. Any higher level literature or philosophy would be a good idea. None of that Twilight bullshit or magazines.

What helped me is making sure that you agree with EVERY word in the answer. RC is a pain in the ass, theres lots of answers that seem wrong that are right. Try to narrow it down to two possibilities then go from there.

And remember the temporal order of the paragraphs too...helps in eliminating answers.
