i've done PTs from 19-28, plus superprep A and B, in all different ways (timed and untimed, full tests and by sections, repeated or new problems), but i have been constantly hitting the plateau of -5 in each section on average, with an overall plateau of 164 when i add all the sections together. i don't seem to find any pattern in my wrong answers. and it's not a problem with time either (even when i don't time myself i tend to finish within 35 minutes). any suggestion how to break this curse? it's getting frustrating now coz i've been studying for almost 2 months now....

Yes.

Practice LG more. I truly believe that people can master lg to at least -2 to -3 with practice while sections like RC and LG might have a natural rate of wrong answers that people can't overcome.

I assume you've read all of the bibles and that you've done some none-PT practice. I would recommend trying to slow down a bit on LR and read a bit more carefully. If there's no pattern to your mistakes, you're likely rushing through the questions, resulting in your misunderstanding of stimuli/answer choices. Also, like above poster mentioned, work on drilling your LG. You should be able to get that down to at least -2 or so. Do some of the older LGs from 7-30 over and over again (actually it wouldn't hurt to do all of them).

thanks for the advice. I have indeed read all three bibles and completed all three books from the Traciela series. So that's a hell lot of materials. I also repeated most of the games from pt1-20 twice, some of them three times. Would you guys recommend me to repeat those games again in the next few weeks, or should i focus more on the games from the newer PTs??

I was just discouraged by my performance today because I have done all the questions from PT19 previously although seperately, i still made so many mistakes. I will try to slow down on LR and keep practising on LG. For LG i mostly get -1 or -2 for each game instead of being destroyed by one particular game, does that show any specific problems that I have or am i just too careless?

I would also say, take a break. You'll often come back stronger and break through that plateau. Maybe take a few days off.

+1... don't be scared to do this. It will not hurt you (everything you've learned won't magically disappear in a few of days) and chances are it will help. Don't get too discouraged either - LSAT scores usually go up in stages, not gradually.

Are you reviewing throroughly? Are you getting LR questions wrong in the same "places" ie the ones at the very end, or the hard ones in 12~20?

For LG drilling is really the key. Focus on diagramming and making clear inferences. If the right answer isn't clear when you select it, you're probably missing something.
