I can not find an efficient way to diagram this game. I basically use powerscore's techniques for doing logic games, but I am open to any advice from someone who has found a way to efficiently diagram this game.

Is this the one with the flights to certain cities and only some cities can connect?

I'd break each city/connect combo into units like:

MH - Montreal, Honolulu
MT - Montreal, Toronto

...until you have variables representing every possible flightpath. Then cross out the flight paths that the rules make impossible.

I'd just map this one out tbh.

Like, place M, H, T, P, and whatever other city in a 5-point star on your page, and start connecting and such.

Not an ideal setup, but I find it's the most straightforward for this one (LSAC hasn't used games of this type since... well, that one... =))

Draw a circle with the different hubs on different points around the circle. When two hubs connect, draw a line between them. When they definitely don't connect draw a line between them and then a line through that line.

Here's our diagram for this game (I didn't put in the other rules, but the number exclusion is the key to this, along with the bidirectionality of each relationship). We play it as an assignment game and it works pretty well, though there's no getting around this being a tough game.

Our fourth LSAT logic challenge hinges on a similar issue if you need more practice.

I just would list out the possibilities keeping in mind the constraints.

It's been quite a while since I've done this one, but even four months/ 40 other prep tests (and one real one) later, I don't think I'd work it any differently.

Whatever gets it done in less than 8 minutes.

This game is proof that an effective diagram can make all the difference in the world. I did poorly on this game, but when I used the diagram provided by Atlas (Thank you) I solved the entire game in less than 5 minutes and got them all correct. It's actually not that hard when you think about it. Sucks that I couldnt figure that out the first time. Ha!
