Shit. Another shitty day. Games were first section of PT 31 and they killed me. I don't get it. I was on a great streak with games and now they're killing me.

Going to spend all day tomorrow going over games before TM class. Game 4 of PT 31 was like nothing I've seen before. I couldn't figure out how to organize the data.

The last one was alright, but that freaking Elle Woods game. The opera and jazz. Ugh. I did really badly on that game/section/pt as a freaking WHOLE.

Also, 3link, don't despair. I hear 30's games are killer.

I guess the rest was good for me. Took PT 49 today. Scored a 179. My breakdown was as follows:

LR 1: -0
LR 2: -2
RC: -0
LG: -0
Exp (LR): -2
Raw: 98

The maize passage is overrated.

Anyway, there was only one question I was concerned with. LR 2 # 23, I felt that the scenario described in D was consistent with the stimulus. Thus, I changed my answer to E, which I was also unsure of. I now realize that while D may be consistent with the stimulus, if it is true, there may be something that makes the outcome less than likely. If I hadn't changed my answer, I would have had a 180. Oh well.

My -0 in LR 1 is probaly the result of my reduced pace. I barely finished in time. I finished LR 2 early.

That's awesome my friend! Next step is to make a 179 your regular score!

Took PT 50 today. Scored 171:

LR 1: -2
LR 2: -2
RC: -5
LG: -0
Exp. LR: -4

RC kicked my butt. That's what I'll be drilling on Thursday. I'll probably include an RC exp. for PT 51 tomorrow.

I changed things up by taking the experimental 3rd this time around. For some reason, I didn't give a crap about RC today. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

Took PT 51 tonight. This is unquestionably the harest PT I have ever encountered. Literally unbelievable. I scored a 168, which is a montly low.

LR 1: -2
LR 2: -6 (WTF)
RC: -4
LG: -2
Exp RC: -5

Tomorrow is another day.

Take a few days off my friend. Eat some oreos, have a beer and slam down a big mac. Start back up early next week. Seriously.

I got -4 on RC as well.

The 50's PTs scare me. I like the 40's. Kind of.

Thanks eit and AT. I think I was just tired tonight.

On the bright side, I just realized that I actually scored a 169. I made a scoring error.

Did the first half of PT 40 today. Damn.

LR: -2
LG: -6 (JESUS H CHRIST)

It was that stupid zephyr airlines game. I couldn't keep the rules in my mind. It seems like that's the problem for every game I bomb. Anyway, PT 55 (or maybe its 56) tomorrow with TestMasters. Hoping for a rebound.

Good enough.

Took LG from PT 7 today. Got -1. That stupid voters game held me up. I couldn't find the necessary deduction even though I was looking right at it. Sigh.

Tomorrow is PT 52 I believe. Joy.

I think I've pinpointed the reason for my fluctuating scores. I take most of my PTs after work (6pm). By that time, the last meal I ate was at 1pm. I don't feel hungry when I start the test, but 2-3 sections in, I really start to feel it. Today was no exception. In fact, today it was more than I could bare. I did the first section of PT 52 and my experimental RC. However, I was so hungry, I simply couldn't see myself concentrating any further until eating. Since this ultimately screws up my timing anyhow, and since I wouldn't finish until close to 11 if I started back up now, I've decided to call it a night and finish the test tomorrow. Tomorrow was going to be an off day anyway.

The lesson I take from today:

1.) Eat a better lunch (I think I'm going to Wendy's for lunch from now on instead of a lousy sandwhich from Giant).
2.) Perhaps eat dinner before the test.

I'll try this with a full test on Wednesday and see if that makes a difference.

I usually eat right before my PTs, I think it helps. Even just a snack of a banana or some Cheerios gives your brain some glucose to work with.

I think eit is right. You might want to eat just a light snack instead of eating a full meal. For me, if I eat a full meal without caffeine in my body, I get really sleepy and don't even want to do anything but going to bed... :|

Also, you don't want to eat that much after PTs when it's close to bed time either because you don't wanna store fat... Since I am on diet for quite a while, I stopped eating a big meal each time just spreading out into several meals. I noticed this helps my concentration as well as my health.

Did the other 3 sections of PT 52 today. Results are as follows:

LG: -0
LR 1: -1
LR 2: -1
RC: -6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@#@#%@##@

Raw: 92
Scaled: 170

I totally blew it on RC. Jesus. I guess I was rushing a bit. I finished 6 minutes early. I'm reluctantly attributing it to overconfidence. I guess I'll have to drill RC tomorrow along with LG. I also did an LG drill earlier today (PT 9). Got a -1 on that stupid dancing kids game.

Edit: PT 53 tomorrow AFTER dinner. No excuses tomorrow. Thank you for the advice eit and penguin.

Did PT 53 today. Results:

LR 1: -2
LR 2: -0
LG: -1
RC: -3
Exp RC (PT 39): -1

Raw: 93
Scaled: 174

RC got me again. Stupid mistakes. Grrrrrrrr. I know exactly what mistake I made in LG. I spotted it the moment the clock ran out. DOH! I wasted too much time in games trying to find the most efficient way. I usually finish games 6-7 minutes early, but these were annoying. I hate those conditional sequencing games. My lesson from tonight’s game 4 is to forget about drawing out all of the scenarios. I should just keep an eye on those sufficient conditions and notice when the local rules are triggering them.

I'm not sure what I'm doing tomorrow. Technically, I should go to my TestMasters class. However, I don't feel like it's doing anything for me at this point. Also, I drive an hour in rush hour traffic to get there and pay 12 dollars to park for 4 hours. I'd much rather take another PT.

Took PT 44 w/ PT 43 RC as experimental. Results:

LR 1: -2
LR 2: -2
LG: -1
RC: -3!!!
Exp. RC: -6!!!!!!!
Raw: 92
Scaled 172

RC is kicking my ass. Jesus. I thought I had a grip on it. LR misses were stupid mistakes. I really need to get back on track with RC. All three misses were from the same passage, but I guess that makes sense. That freakin nerve cell passage was TERRIBLE!

Oh, and LR 2 # 8. No where in the stimulus does it suggest that a party cannot stay in power unless it is unified. Crappy writing IMO.

I got -3 on PT 53's RC as well. One of them, the question was stupid, and the other two were on that strawberry plant thing and I misread them.

Blink I think we're in the same boat with fluctuating scores in low-mid 170s. Well, sort of. You seem to be doing really well (178, wowz), but RC is killing us both in the 50s. I've heard from my old BP instructor RC gets a lot harder in the 50s, so it's just a matter of attuning oneself I suppose?

I've had a string of 90-94-90-90-90 scores on 47-48-49-50-51 respectively. It's really annoying. Tomorrow is another day, like you say!

I'm not nervous per se. I'm somewhat thankful I'm scoring low so I can get some anxiety to push me and motivate me so I'm not complacent. Thing is I need to get back in the 94-96 raw range the week or two before test day so I can have full confidence. We got this!
