Powerscore LSAT Weekend Course?

Postby IT_GUY » Tue Aug 03, 2010 3:26 pm

Hi,

I am planning on signing up for the Powerscore Weekend course. It is a 2-day course. I am already preparing on my own but I thought this 2-day course would give a little push for a better score.

Has anyone (or anyone you know) taken this course?

It it worth $450?

Thanks!

Hello I took this course for the June LSAT.
I was fortunate enough to have a decent LSAT
prep budget and I thought the class was pretty good
and informational, I deffinitely got one or two things from it.
However if you are already scoring higher I think the class is
pretty basic, and I think it's just because its a weekend course so not a lot of time.
Powerscore is a great company, but If I were to shell out
money for a prep course I would just do the full length one.

I don't know if that helps you at all.
Basically if $450 is not a huge deal then I would say
you can't lose anything, it will only benefit you.

Thanks for your input. I started preparing only 3 weeks back for about 4 hours per day along with my fulltime job so looks like this course will help.

I took the weekend course last year for the June LSAT, but I wound up not taking the LSAT.

The course was cool, I would recommend it if you needed to take a class to fine tune your self studying. The book was a combination of the bibles into one colossal book, which is good if you didn't purchase the bibles. My problem was not knowing the material so the class was a little boring for me, but for others it went at a fast pace. It depends on you.

I agree with Classygal87 take a full length course if you've got the money to spend.

Thanks, I don't have the time for full length course with my fulltime job (which is pretty hectic). Too bad, I already bought the Logic Games Bible. I asked Powerscore before purchasing the LG bible and they said their weekend course book would have some parts of LG, LR and RC bible material. Anyways, the next weekend course in my area is in Sepetember and I could not wait that long to get their book. The LG bible is helping me a lot so no regrets but I will not purchase other books from Powerscore because I will be registering for the Weekend course. I am wondering if the virtual full length class is a good option?
