Free Amazon Prime for Students

Post by Precessional » Mon Aug 02, 2010 7:13 pm

Amazon.com is currently offering free Amazon Prime for customers with a .edu email address:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info

What it is:
Amazon Prime is a membership program that gives you and your family unlimited fast shipping, such as FREE Two-Day shipping and One-day shipping for $3.99 per item on all eligible purchases
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/ ... d=13819211

It's helpful for free shipping for purchases under $25 (as for a few PrepTests) and free two-day shipping (if you need that PS bible in a jiffy).

Thanks for the post but this has already been posted a few times now. Try and use the search function before you post topics, in many cases they've been discussed before.

For example, found this in under a minute using search:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... azon+prime

And here:

Yes, it's awesome. I ordered all my casebooks and supplements using it. 2 days shipping, saved at least $150.

Ah, I had missed them.

There is value, however, in reposting-- right? Not all of us try search queries for deals we don't know. Not all of us frequent this board daily.

It's generally frowned upon. It can be disorganized to have 4 threads on the same topic.

The deal had not been posted in the LSAT sub-forum. Many of us don't venture out into broader TLS.

It's not a huge deal, but try not to do it again in the future :).

Interesting. How does one search for something that they do not know exists? The guy is just trying to be helpful....

Click "Advanced Forum Search" and then type in Amazon Prime. It's not that difficult. Yes, I can appreciate him trying to be helpful, but like many things in life, it's not only about motivation.

This deal, while valuable, does not belong in the LSAT subforum. Anyone who wishes to discuss it can go to one of the other existing threads on the subject.
