Von Schtuben Camp Game

Postby Atlas LSAT Teacher » Thu Jul 01, 2010 1:40 pm

If you need a break from LSAT games, try another one :)

The Von Schtuben Summer Camp for Gifted Children offers three activities – sousaphone lessons, Germanic dance, and underwater basket-weaving – from Monday through Friday. Each activity is offered at least twice. At least one activity is offered on each day, and no activity is offered more than once in the same day. The following conditions apply:

* More activities are offered on Thursday than on Wednesday.
* If exactly two activities are offered on Monday, then exactly three are offered on Friday.
* Any activity offered on Tuesday is also offered on Wednesday.
* Underwater basket-weaving is first offered on the day immediately following the day on which sousaphone lessons are first offered.
* Germanic dance is offered on Monday.

1. Which one of the following could be a complete and accurate list of the activities and the days they are offered?

* Friday: underwater basket-weaving, Germanic dance

(E)

* Monday: Germanic dance;
* Tuesday: Germanic dance;
* Wednesday: sousaphone lessons, Germanic dance;
* Thursday: sousaphone lessons, Germanic dance, underwater basket-weaving;

(C) All three activities are offered on Thursday.

(D) Sousaphone lessons and Germanic dance are offered on Tuesday.

(B) Sousaphone lessons are offered on Wednesday.

(C) Underwater basket-weaving is offered on Tuesday.

(D) Sousaphone lessons are offered on Monday.

(E) Underwater basket-weaving is offered on Wednesday.

4. Which one of the following, if substituted for the restriction that if exactly two activities are offered on Monday, then exactly three are offered on Friday, would have the same effect in determining the schedule of activities offered?
