The only reason I took the LSAT in June was because my desired school emailed me and asked if I was retaking in June
(basically telling me my score wasn't good enough for them at the time).

Well, I retook in June and scored one point below the median of the entering class. My GPA is two tenths higher than the median.

I know it is incredibly late in the cycle, but what are my chances of getting in?

I assume you're on a waitlist....

What school is it?

Case Western Reserve up in Cleveland.

Okay, I don't know much about Case Western specifically, but here's my broad advice:

1. Call them and tell them you're still very much interested in attending, just got your LSAT back, and wanted to tell them your new score as quickly as possible.

2. Follow up your phone call with a traditional Email LOCI talking about your new score and your continued desire to attend.

3. Hope they have a seat open up...

In all honesty, at this point it may be less about whether or not they WANT to admit you and more about whether they have a seat AVAILABLE at all...I think you certainly have a shot if you make sure they know who you are, but don't get me wrong: Luck is still going to play a significant part.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an email LOCI?

And just for some additional information...
-I have already gone out of my way in the spring to take a personal tour with the associate dean of admissions there. She seemed to like me, encouraged me to take the test again if I really wanted to go to Case, and also loved my suit (haha).

-I have another letter of recommendation being sent from a very good professor. He is writing it knowing that it is only about me attending Case, which is good. I took him for two classes and got nearly a 100% in both, so he will speak very highly of me.

-Case also has a "Why Case" essay you can write, which is basically an additional personal statement but is solely about why you want to attend Case.

I'm really trying to figure out the best way to get all of this information there. Should I do all of it (essay, call/email about scores, etc.) ASAP?

I'm really looking for help here people. This wait is ten times worse than waiting for my score.

All tips for things I can do are greatly appreciated!

An e-mail LOCI is a letter of continued interest, meaning that if Case does let you off their waitlist, you would still be interested in attending the school. I would absolutely call to tell them of your improved score, e-mail a LOCI/essay, & have the recommendation sent as soon as possible.

Any particulars on how to write an LOCI? Short and brief I'm assuming?
