Agreed. Work REALLY hard because I know you can do it!
Although you should practice the other sections, I feel that you should target mostly RC. While I'm no expert in RC, I would say, take a high-brow and particular boring magazine article, for example from the Economist or something, and annotate it as if it were a RC passage. Mark it up as you would an LSAT passage. Become an active reader. Then, ask yourself questions similar to those you would find on the exam (what's the author's tone/stance, what's the main idea, etc). Use previous exams to predict these questions.

Re: REALLY need advice!
Apply early
ED if possible
Get NC residence status before you apply
Retake
I recommend doing all of the PTs and/or taking a course with another company Testmasters,Powerscore and Blueprint have good reputations. It may be frustrating having to learn another system since Kaplan worked for you but if you do all 60 PTs you will maximize your score.

I'm going to be applying this upcoming fall. Can you apply before you get the October score back?

Most schools will accept your application. If you tell them you are retaking they will wait to look at it.
