Maybe the last fun thread before the release? A presentation

I was wondering what the last "distraction/funsies" thread was going to be before scores are released. If they're released tomorrow, maybe this will be it.

I'm planning on unveiling my score with some friends and family. I want to give them a brief (5 min) primer on the LSAT. Specifically, I would like to cover:

-what the LSAT is comprised of (time, section types, etc.)
-what the scores mean (percentiles, etc.)
-example questions, games, etc.
-how the test is scored/equated
-what meaning law schools apply to the LSAT (i.e. live or die)
-my predicted scores (e.g. a bell curve giving what I think I got and the % chances I got various scores around this prediction, like a bell curve)
-other things, esp. from TLS, that are idiosyncratic to the whole last 6 months of my life

If you have suggestions, either serious or otherwise, for one or more of these categories, I'd love to hear them.

Wow. I think my family will just ask, "So, uh, is that a good score or not?" and then move on with life.

I think you should force them to take a timed 5 section PT first then laugh at their scores and ask if you are adopted

No offense, but are you serious with this? This is a really socially awkward and boring thing to do. Don't.

I've always found it frustrating just how little non-inductees care about the LSAT. Save yourself some time, and just tell them the percentile. "Top 3%" (or whatever) sounds impressive any way you cut it.

Lol, my family/friends were begging me to stop talking about exactly what OP listed way before the scores were released.

That's what TLS is for. Obsessing neurotically with like-minded people. Honestly, while your family/friends might put up with it for your sake, I think it's better if you spare them...

Seriously, if I get my target score, I'm going to cheerfully take all my friends out for drinks. They listened to me obsess, whine, and complain for 6 months. They deserve it. I'm sure they're curious about my score, but I doubt they want to hear all of that bullshit again.

Wait a month and you can force them to take PT60... THE actual test you took. If they're not impressed with your XXX, they will be when they do it themselves and get (XXX-20).

Law school is filled with people who are:

A) not socially awkard

and

B) socially awkward.

You sir, are leaning heavily towards B. I took the LSAT and I still couldnt imagine giving a lesson to my friends/family about what the score means.

I'm simply going to walk up, say a number, and leave it up to them to figure out the rest.

Ha Ha this may be the nerdiest thing I've ever heard. And you think an LSAT presentation outlining score percentiles is fun.

LOL... this is what I threaten my family with when they suggest I may be freaking out a little and need to calm down!

I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to convince my family that my PT scores are considered pretty good.

I've prepared a 28-page PowerPoint presentation, which I will unveil to my family, friends, and coworkers.

Oh, sorry, did I say "prepared a 28-page PowerPoint presentation, which I will unveil to my family, friends, and coworkers?"

What I meant was, "been getting drunk." I've been getting drunk.

Sorry for the confusion.
