So, I sucksucksuck at logic games. I typically get between 10 and 14 wrong per section, despite knowing how to diagram (after using the logic games bible), and having done LOTS of sections. When I take my time doing the games, I can get pretty much everything right, but the speed just hasn't come, because I'm awful at making inferences/getting the answers without sticking in the answer choices or hypotheticals. I haven't necessarily been meticulous about reviewing the explanations, but that's because the issue is not that I don't understand the inferences, it's that I'm bad at making them myself. Any advice on how I can improve??

How have you been using the Logic Games Bible? Im using it right now and its helped so much. Im seeing things I didnt see before such as Not Laws and im making more inferences based off of those laws. What's helped me improve off of an initial -10 was doing each section in the LGB and then drilling myself with the corresponding questions. I would also recommend not worrying too much about your timing right now. You dont want to take 30 minutes to do 1 game, but something like 10 or 12 minutes might help you out a bit. Focus on the basics and then once youve got those down start timing yourself the usual 8.5 minutes.

How many LGs have you practiced with? After a while, many of the inferences that the explanations illuminate should become intrinsic. This doesn't mean you'll instantly understand everything there's to know about EVERY game, but I'd say around 80% is all about the setup.

Cycle through the Logic Games multiple times. Redoing them will help you see deeper inferences and ways to break them wide open. With enough practice, you'll start to see the similarities between games you've already done and a given new game, which should allow you to more easily see the inferences for the new game.

Also, diagramming isn't the only relevant skill to learn for Logic Games. You'd also benefit by learning when to create multiple main diagrams to represent different major possibilities. The LGB calls them templates.

Redoing logic games really does help out. You'll start noticing patterns on how to approach different questions and problem types.
