I am taking it in February, too.

I am re-taking and I studied for my first exam by going through the Bibles and doing about 35 timed Pts.

I think my problem was that I didn't understand the questions and was too hung up on the Bibles' methods. I've begun studying this time around by breakingdown every LR stimulus, their answers and the reasons, both logically and technically, for being incorrect, and studying what causes some Q to be more difficult than others for me.

I plan to review the Bibles, continue doing this with the PTs older than 42 and then come Dec.-Jan I will take Pts 42- most recent timed.

How far back do you think PTs are relevant to the moderns tests?

From my constant TLS stalking, I've understood that all PT's have some form of relevance. 56 and up are the most difficult. I'm planning on taking all of them.

I am also using the Powerscore bible trilogy.

How's the RC Bible working for ya? I really haven't studied for the RC besides reading and taking practice exams.

I'm going to take the February and June LSATs. Originally I thought I would take the December and apply immediately afterward, but I want a greater score. So, I'll sacrifice a year and go from there (plus, some more work experience and what not in the meantime).

Ultimately, I want to be an entrepreneur, so where I go wouldn't matter per se. However, giving myself from the end of the summer to June - almost a year! - should give me a better chance to get the highest score and go to a better score and meet better people. I'm not doing too great right now, but I believe I have a high ceiling, as I'm making quite a few silly mistakes that will hopefully disappear with time. Practice, practice, practice.

Did PTs 7-11, 13-15, 24-30, 32, and 33. Now moving on to 34-62 (Oct 2010), December 2010, and SuperPrep A, B and C. Two a week until a week before the test, then December 2010 the week of.

I've been at this for 2 months already btw.

I admire your enthusiasm. Was it the LR diagrams that did it for you? I'm just now working my way through the LRB and am successfully confusing myself with all these letters flying around.

How much have you improved over the course of two months? I started with a 156, so we're in the same boat, really.

I really have no idea. I don't think I've improved that much- those untimed tests, while I unofficially kept myself to an hour/section, really ended up slowing me down and working against me on timed tests. I haven't taken a standard test until now and I'm taking a 30 minute test tonight, we'll see how it goes, I'm scoring mid 160's on 45 minute tests and before I moved down, 168-174 untimed (started study at 160-165 untimed). I'm hoping to get a 160 (on this time trial). 31 PrepTests at 5 minutes short should bring me up to 170, right?

I think the biggest thing was probably time. The Primary Objectives kind of went out the window when I was on my timed trials (although on the last PrepTest I scored my own personal record on LR: a -6 in 45 minutes). Too bad I got fucked on the RC (-10).

I hear it's a good method that will come in handy on test day. I'll eventually start doing that, too. I really need to slim down my LG timed sections. My brain likes to take its sweet little time on every question.

And I think that, judging by those scores (albeit untimed), you're showing a pretty big improvement. Congrats! You give me hope.

Kind of scary, but I scored substantially better on my PT this morning after three weeks of studying, so I'm feeling optimistic.

Are you guys applying this cycle or next cycle?

Count me in for the Feb 11 test/Fall 2012 cycle. It may be early, but Feb gives me breathing room to retake in June and begin apps in the fall. Since I work now and am busy with kids, four-five months to study is ideal, since I can't put in a lot of time every day.

I've gone through the LG and LG Bibles and am working through those PTs. Will tackle RC in Nov. and start on modern full PTs in Dec/Jan.

Diagnostic was 165, ideal is 170+. I'm afraid my ceiling is rather low, as with other standardized tests. In fact, I need to find tips that specifically address that, because my biggest problem is not missing questions in which there is room for improvement, but in missing questions I know I would never have gotten, even when reviewing the right answer and why it's right.

Next cycle. And I'm still scoring in the 150's. That's even more scary. Oh well, 28 PTs to go, so hopefully by the time I get to PT62, I'll be much better prepared.

After my Oct fiasco, retaking in Feb (hence applying next year).
Got a 174 (-9 wrong) last week on the June 01 PT. Taking a week to go over strategies. Then PT every other day until Feb.

Have yet to break 175 on a PT.

i just did my first test and got 162 - i want to get at least 170. do you think i can get it by feb? how many points can you realistically improve your score? i live on the other side of the world and i have holidays until the feb lsat, so i'm going to do as many preptests as i can.

I got up to 166/165 before I burned out in a blaze and took like 3 days off of studying for the LSAT. I'm officially afraid for my PT scores. It'll probably be in the lower 160s. Sigh.

This sucks. I've lost all motivation, now that I have some belief in my head about a viable option B.
