I'm here with you!!...i was going to take the Feb LSAT, but went through a small phase of beung unsre of whether or not i truly wanted to go to law school. I'm back on board.

At the moment, going back over the Powerscore Bibles that i did back in december. Going to start doing practice tests when i finish.

Last year of UG, scored a 140 on diagnostic. finished the lgb, starting lrb in a week...

logicgames weakest section, lr and rc reasonably better but not quite there yet

studying around 6+ hours a day. really focusing on LG right now... i can do them perfect. but they are all taking me bw 15-20 min each... so i need to practice them

5 years out UG (yikes), took the test in September 2006 and scored a 154 (ugh). I was in the middle of a Master's program and I simply was not in a place where I could perform well on the test.

Excuses aside. LR Bible and LG Bible have been my friends and I'm scoring in the mid to high 160s. Last test LR (-3), RC (-8), LR (-2), LG (-1) I'm going to scale back my timed tests to work on my fundamentals until late July/early August, so that I don't burn out on PTs. RC is my kryptonite, I haven't found a system that works for me.

14 wrong generally translates to a 166-168, depending upon the exam.

15-18 wrong can translate to a 165, again depending upon the exam.

There's a decent amount of fluctuation between exams - more than you might expect.

LSAC mixes it up like that.

Background:

I finished undergrad in December '09, double major and good GPA... but a STTTTATE school

I was gonna take the test last fall, bailed because I knew I wasn't there yet... got an "absent"

I was gonna take it in June, but emotional stress (broken engagement) made me switch to October.

I am ready to kill this mo' fo' and get between a 175-180, HYS... let's do it!!!!

LR Bible, LG Bible, made my own flashcards (laminated), taking 2 preptests/week right now (I will up that), reading a medical journal every day for RC, trying to improve LR... these are decent: http://www.princetonreview.com/lsat-logic.aspx

Thanks. I don't know why, but that seems like a lot to miss to me. However, most people who take the LSAT score significantly lower then that.

Haven't ever done any studying outside of 3 PrepTests--7, 9 and 10--on which I've averaged 177.3. I'm aiming (realistically, I hope) for a 179-180; anyone know how to make that final push from high 170s to perfect?

Never took a LSAT test or practice test
Half way through the SuperPrep
I'm moving slowly
I recently picked up 2 jobs, one is fulltime hours at a bank, the other is a a retail store.
i still hangout with girlfriend and friends a good amount of my time.
I have a low LSDAS gpa
I need at least a 170 LSAT
I plan to apply to early decision, and other schools around the Oct test (hopefully before Dec).
I plan to sign up for a BluePrint LSAT Prep class in Berkeley this summer.

Method: I plan on writing a comprehensive document explaining my approach to various questions. This helps me digest the information for myself. Of course I will share this information with you lot as I go.

Right now I am only using the preptests to practice/study, since I can't afford the bibles at the moment.

Rising college senior here. I have not taken the LSAT yet and will be taking it for the first time in October. I'd love to go to a T-14 school (wouldn't everyone?), so I'm a little worried that I HAVE to score highly the first time if I want the best chance. I started studying as soon as school ended this spring, and so far I have read the LGB and taken 2 practice tests.

Rising senior
Great GPA (I don't have any punitive withdrawals, so let's hope my GPA remains the same when I send in my transcript.)
Finished the LGB and LRB. I've went over all of the questions in the LGB again for the last two days and got them all right, so let's hope that's an indicator of future success.

Strengths:

I'd say logic games, at this point.

Weaknesses:

A few of the sections of Logical Reasoning, but we'll see if that can be changed in the next few days.

I'm still waiting for my Kaplan Mastery book to arrive in the mail in the next few days, so after completing that, I'll see if whether I should move straight to practice testing or buying the Reading Comprehension Bible first.

Target: 170+

We'll see how this goes.

Graduated spring 2009. Got a 158 on a diagnostic test with no prep. Doing about two practice tests per week right now, planning on taking a class (probably Powerscore) in July.

Not necessarily. Certain things have changed, but some people think the newer ones get easier, while others have a hard time. Every LSAT is unique in its own right and presents its own set of challenging questions along with the gimmes. You're on the right track though, my friend.

Wow almost everyone here is aiming for a high 170+. That's really impressive.

I'm also aiming for anything above 170 as well as I don't have a GPA. lsat is gona be THE sole decisive factor in my application...really nervous about starting the preparation. going to spend 4 months the entire summer, willing to give up having a life if necessary. did a full test from the princeton review book and got around 151...and was told somewhere on the forum to ditch that book. so i'll use the bibles and the grouped by type series.

There's a thread about people who made 160+ and how they did it...a pretty decent amount of them got 180s.
