LSAT prep...

Post by lawman54 » Wed May 12, 2010 11:14 pm

I wont be needing to take the LSAT for a couple years but I took one of the prep tests and received a 141 on it. Wasn't to happy but never prepared or studied for it. Just a random thing I decided to do.

What would be some good material to buy in order to get that score up. I want to be in the 160/170 range when I take it for real.

Pithypike's guide has some excellent recommendations on which books to get and how to use them.

Don't be worried about the 141. An initial diagnostic without any prep doesn't mean too much.

Logic (especially Logic Games) can seem like a foreign language at first.

Without any training, you probably wouldn't do too well on a diagnostic in Aramaic (assuming you don't speak it already).

Same goes for the LSAT. I'd recommend doing some serious prep before measuring where you stand.

There's no reason you can't end up in the 160/170 range. These boards are full of great advice and folks willing to help you get there.
