Did anyone make a jump from their high PT to the LSAT
I am just wondering. In every test in the past, I have always made the jump from practice to the real thing, I get that hyperfocus, but it's a little discouraging that so many people drop. Did anyone make the jump after taking 5 + practice tests?

It absolutely happens, just don't count on it

I think if your PT scores are consistent there is a great chance to jump. I noticed when people were posting after getting Feb. scores the people who had taken more tests and had hit a "range" actually scored above it. The more tests you take the more likely it is to happen.

Re: Did anyone make a jump from their high PT to the LSAT
Thanks for the replies! In my head I feel like my score should jump, with my skill level in practice something doesn't seem right with my score (i'm sure a lot of people feel this way). Perhaps the energy in the test room gives some people the neccessary surge. I know I had been practicing in complete solitude for a while, and so I tried to go to a cafe. With my brother constantly nagging me to go, and everyone else getting ready for close it seemed impossible to do well, especially well taking a timed lr on the computer. I only got the first 18/24 done before close, but with 7 minutes to go I had hit 16/18, and one was P reasoning which i always put d for. that's trending a little better than my normal 18-19/section, so i'll keep my fingers crossed!

You should be able to at least eliminate 2-3 answers by comparing conclusions. this is a quick, fairly precise way to reduce the risk of picking a wrong answer on parallel reasoning while guessingjason8821 wrote:and one was P reasoning which i always put d for.

I'm just like you, I always do better on th real thing. Score jumped five points from my best practice.

How many practice tests did you all take? I will probably be at 20, maybe 25 by the real thing so if I jump from my best I will pretty damn happy.

I took 4, all within a week. But my study habits as far as the LSAT are concerned are generally frowned upon around here.

I took between 10-15 practice tests and my actual score jumped 3 points from my highest PT

Mine did (sorta). I technically had a PT that was one point higher but it was only 4 sections. Compared to the 5 section tests I took (about 10), the real thing was 2 points above my highest. Similar thing happened on the SAT too -- what you said about being hyper focused on the real thing sounds like how I do on tests like this as well.

I also only score a bit higher on sections when I am completely untimed. I don't know if that means anything, but I would be solid day if I got 21 or 22/25 LR untimed, and I have been there timed. I don't know if this means anything.

I was hoping that would happen to me because I tend to focus better under pressure, but I got about my PT average.
