Making Inferences Before Tackling the Grouping LGs

Am I the only one who thinks that this approach overcomplicates matters? I fear I would get lost among the sea of inferences and sink to the depths if I accidentally make a false inference. I find it much easier just to write the rules and make inferences as I go.

I agree. I have started to make the inferences as I go along. I am one of those who ALWAYS make false inference before hand-->which wastes a TONE of time for no apparent reason.

I really really disagree. Especialy in the basic in/out games, like birds in a forest and friends in a photograph. If I diagram all the inferences, I can really burn through the questions just by looking back at them.

Especially those like

J---> H and H<--/-->W, so J<--/-->W.

Simple grouping games like that are the easiest for me, taking about 5-6 minutes, because by diagramming everything out the individual questions take almost no time If doing it all in your head works then by all means, but for me the extra time spend diagramming is well worth it.

Well the in and out easy grouping games....yes, I make all the inferences as well (since there are ONLY so many options).

But it's the harder ones which after reading the rules for, I still cant figure out how exactly to tackle, I simply jump right into the question and go from there. It's working for thus far.
