Is it too late to register for the June LSAT in NYC??

Technically no, but there have been waitlists for over a month now. If history can be used as a judge, if you signed up now you'd probably get in somewhere by test day (but, depending on which center opens up when it comes your turn, it might not be actually in the city). But I have students who signed up a month ago for NYC and still haven't been assigned anywhere. Usually spots really start opening right at the 3-weeks prior point.

If worse comes to worse, find a place somewhat close.

Then get a rental car, hotel, drive somewhere Friday morning, relax Friday night and nail it Saturday.

It looks like NYU just opened up. You should get on that as soon as possible. It might be gone in hours or even minutes.
