I very seriously doubt the validity of this. It sounds like you're excusing your grade a bit too much.

The fact that you scored a 166 without careful study indicates you're not so stupid as to take a sleeping pill two hours before the LSAT.

As far as your original question, you actually identify the best method to achieve a higher score as you describe your lack of preparation.

It's quite simple: Take the test seriously, prepare carefully, and profit.

Why did you even post this? It seems like it follows logically to think, "Hey, I didn't really prepare for this so much, so what should I do next time? Oh duh, I should actually prepare this time!"

I agree with CMdantes, the sleeping pill sounds like a bad move. It almost sounds like a sabotage move. But, nerves will do crazy things to a person.

As for the road ahead, some people swear by Pithypike's method: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =6&t=41657

If you want to hear what we say (and it's not that our stuff is what to use :) ), we're doing a free live online workshop on Tuesday night: http://www.atlaslsat.com/EventShow.cfm? ... ventID=191 The big focus is the difference in approach between average test-takers and the 170+ crowd.

Good luck!
