I heard that the June exams are usually weird?

Post by idoubtit » Sun Feb 21, 2010 1:13 pm

I am preparing for the June exam but my friends told me that the June exam is usually weird comparing to the Oct one.
any thoughts on that?
I wanna take the June one coz I think it would give me more time to prepare for application afterwards. But my friends told me that taking the Oct still can guarantee me enough time to prepare and send application before the deadlines.

any thoughts on that?

thanks a lot.

Believe me, as someone who went through the last/application process, your application will still be the same crap no matter what your score. A 170 or a 150 won't change the content of your PS/ your LORs/ resume.

The test in June 2010 will be the hardest test ever.

While I can't speak in terms of actually writing the June test and the October test, I can tell you that I wrote the June '09 and felt like it was pretty much on par with the practice tests I had taken. Did your friends mention what they considered specifically weird? Personally, I am glad that I wrote in June. I had most of my apps done by mid-October and I felt like it gave me more time to research schools (beforehand) that would be a good fit for my splitter self.

Take June. You don't have to wake up super early. And no, the June tests are not particularly "weird".

Everyone knows June tests are the weirdest and hardest; especially in even numbered years.

Dude, are you seriously this dim-witted?

Why are you asking people if June is weird compared to October? Go out and buy the last 5 June administrations and the last 5 October administrations. Do them. Then answer the question for yourself.

Second, your score should not be a factor in the writing of your personal statement (unless, of course, your score is so shit that it would make the writing of it, much less the putting together of your whole application, pointless)

Now grow up and stop acting like a fucking baby.

You know, I felt that 57-59 really were a group, with the "replace a rule" questions and the "we [heart] In/Out games" distributions of game types, and that's a group that begins with a June test. Obviously, in '07, Comparative Reading began with the June test. This makes me wonder if there is something to the idea that June is the date on which new trends begin. Usually applicants for the following year take the June, September/October, or December tests, or they take February of the same year, so LSAC's calendar runs more or less June-February (which was the reason for starting the Comparative Reading in June), so this isn't impossible.

Still, I never noticed this before PT 57 (granted, I wasn't looking for it), so it seems pretty unlikely.

Not a prediction, but a response to the reading comprehension showed by his response.

If he's practicing at a 171 right now, then the answer above is just for a type of question he has struggles.
I don't struggle for anything, I just don't understand why you guys are so hostile and immature:)
