THOSE Who Will Keep Doing LSAT Problems for Life

Postby hv1 » Fri Feb 19, 2010 11:12 am

Now that we've done nearly every problem on EVERy practice test.

Anyone here going to keep buying new test years from now and doing them for fun? To keep the brain sharp and make sure that you have taken every LSAT problem from '92 to present.

Beats doing Sudoku on the train

I'm actually working on writing my own full test of all original questions.

Are you talking about the LSAT or the actual LSAT itself?

This is a very twisted thing to say on a Friday morning.

BS! I guarantee you will never pick up another LSAT question (by choice) after the exam... Besides, if you're going to be a lawyer, you won't need LSAT questions to keep your mind sharp lol

My problem is coming up with something for the experimental section.

Just like people look forward to a NEW movie, I'm lookin forward to the June 2010 RELEASE of the LSAT,

I know you guys would rather play Modern Warfare 2 or look forward to the upcoming Harry Potter movie in late 2010

Oh, I got that covered. All my questions on the experimental section are about experimenting with various sexual couplings, multi-partner situations, and positions.

The sequencing game is a blast.

Ah, sounds epic. Maybe we can trade when we're done. I'm still working on my last LR section. Curve on mine will be pretty tight, though, I'm thinking -7.

I'm a high school teacher, and my kids love doing LSAT logic games. I break them up into small groups, and they diagram on 2' square whiteboards. Although, I generally stick to linear and basic grouping games, as the others tend to fry their little brains.

I actually kinda like the logic games. If there is a book out with just the logic games I might be persuaded to buy it and do it for fun. The reading comp and logic reasoning can go hang though.

This is why I'm an LSAT teacher. Usually I just work through the questions untimed when a new test comes out, because I want to make notes about teaching the questions, things that students are likely to miss, etc., but with PT 57, I timed myself, and it was a lot more fun. So that's what I'm doing from now on. When a new test comes out, I'm taking the whole thing timed. I did it with 58 and liked it a lot. (I will say, it's probably more fun when you don't miss very many questions and when you know the patterns of the LSAT inside and out.)

Hi, my name is ____. I enjoy doing LSAT prep-tests, the homework assigned as optional, making and memorizing flashcards for every list I can find, as well as studying when I do not need to. I am currently very, very single.

I enjoy doing the LG games, especially the really old LG games with mapping and diagram type questions. One of my extra credit projects at school was to make a program that check for possible routes between any list of given cities with certain rules, worked out just like the subway station and cities game. I must be a geek but I like doing them. More satisfying than soduku because it is not repetitive, and better than crosswords(which I like) because it is logic based. If there is a service that I can subscribed to to let me solve 1 LG game per day I will sign up right now 8) I have been doing all the games that I have one everyday for months. Now I am have run out I am doing the princetown review made up ones. It is a really good mental excercise. Especially for my field/profession. (CS)

To answer the question: Not just no, but hell no.

I mean, I suppose it would be fun to look at one from time to time, and *maybe* even do a section from time to time. But there's no way I would want to do that very often. I mean... unless I was getting paid to teach the LSAT. But I wouldn't be doing that anyway.
