PT 50, LR Section 4, #13 ergg confusingg

Postby s1m4 » Mon Jan 25, 2010 7:24 pm

Can anybody shine some light on me for PT 50, LR Section 4, #13? The argument / answer choices are so complex that its difficult for me to understand the reasoning behind the why A, B, C are all incorrect.

I also cannot see why D is correct.. I mapped it out as "Article... --> "uses photo.." but so what?

Can somebody please explain the line of reasoning and why some answers can be disqualified?

Let me try:
It is an inference question, so we know there is a logic hole somewhere.
The argument in simple terms is:
There is a phenomenon A.
A causes B.
Therefore, A causes C.
This argument would work if we knew that B causes C, which is what (B) has.
Does this make sense?
