PT 13, Section 2, Question 7
What key term is getting unreasonably extended. Is it tax? Reason being it went from talking about taxes, to tax rates to tax revenues? Need some clarification here. Thanks in advance.

It is the word tax. The author uses the phrase tax, which one can define as a mandatory fee paid to the government based on one's income, and extends it to say that private health care is an additional tax. That doesn't weaken the argument that the author attempts to undermine, that American's pay less tax than other nations. An American will still be paying less in taxes than other nations (i.e. the fee to the government), and one might not ever need to obtain/pay health services from the private sector if we were even going to assume that the private health care was an additional "tax".deputamadre wrote:What key term is getting unreasonably extended. That is how I see it, hopefully this kind of clears it up a bit.
