Anyone else struggle with the longer LR section in December?
I'm really having trouble figuring out what I need to to do to fix my December score. I am -1/-2 on LG and usually -2/-3 on LR.
On the December test, I was -2 on my second LR (25 questions) but -10 on my first LR (26 questions). This was the one with bankers/athletes, Malthus, factory workers/breakfast.
Did anyone else find this LR section really hard and if so, help me figure out why? Maybe an abnormal amount of causal reasoning? I can't ignore this and just say it was a fluke but I just don't see a pattern in questions that I missed.

For what it's worth, most people found this LR section to be exceptionally difficult compared to the usual LR, and it's widely considered to be the reason for the generous curve. There was not a particular pattern, just a long run of very difficult questions. Perhaps someone else will have more to say.

Yes. Big time. I thought I was the only one that found it unusually hard, but I didn't even get to the last three questions and had to guess.

Was there a discussion or some analysis of this that I missed?

-2/-3 ... but on the Sept LSAT I think I got -5 on both sections. I skimmed the PowerScore logical reasoning bible the day before the test - I think that's what accounted for my score increase.
