Kretzky, I'm afraid I passed along bad info. I talked with Iowa again and it seems that they *do* offer a travel reimbursement for ASW. Up to $200 will be covered, but only if the student matriculates at the school.

Northwestern doesn't make everyone pay either. If you live more than 300 miles from Chicago, they pay up to $150 for airfare, although it is also based on need.

"To help make it possible for you to attend the event, Duke Law offers a travel subsidy (maximum $150) toward the cost of your flight to Durham, North Carolina. Before making your travel arrangements, please visit the admitted students website to learn how to qualify for your travel subsidy and to find information about lodging and transportation."
So $150 instead of last year's 250

I don't know if the W&L stipend is just for OOS students. The invitation reads ...
I think it's for everyone!?We provide up to two nights hotel lodging and subsize up to $300 in travel expenses for all Open House attendees.

IUB for scholarship recipients of varying amounts. Mine < full ride.
1. Reimbursement for airfare or mileage up to $350. The University will only reimburse for economy-class airfare. 2. Ground transportation (student-driven shuttle) between the Indianapolis airport and Bloomington. These shuttles will leave the airport at various times on Friday, March 25 and return at various times on Sunday, March 27. Departure times will be determined once we receive flight information from visitors. We cannot cover rental cars. 3. Hotel accommodations for Friday-Sunday. This will be a shared hotel room with another Spring Law Day participant. If you book a private room we will reimburse at $50 per night.

Oklahoma city provides a selected threshold of scholarship recipients $200 for travel, plus free hotel, free food--3 meals a day, and a charter-bus to and from events. They have a very similar setup for all admits on a different weekend.

No, apparently the full scholarships, $120Ks, and $105Ks are getting that offer. The full scholarships are getting $500 for airfare, and the 120s and 105s are getting $350. Free ground transportation and room applies to all of the above.RMstratosphere wrote:IU-B is offering flights, ground transport, and hotel for some admits. I think full sholly students only.
I dont know about the $90Ks or below though.

Vandy gives more than $250. They do airfare (Up to $250 I've heard from some, but they paid my full ticket which was like $280) + $50 / night for hotel + transportation from airport.

I'm from OK and I had NO idea there was a law school in OKC.txadv11 wrote:Oklahoma city provides a selected threshold of scholarship recipients $200 for travel, plus free hotel, free food--3 meals a day, and a charter-bus to and from events. If no one's mentioned it, CU Boulder offers stipends of ~$200 to (randomly?) selected OOS admits.

Re: Schools that Pay for you to visit during ASW
Vandy reimburses $200 if you don't get pre-approval. If you do ask for pre-approval, they seem to cover pretty much anything. They're paying $400+ for my airfare. They offer up to two nights of the $50/night hotel stipend, which can be used even if you also stay with a student host for part of your trip. They only reimburse $18 for airport transportation, which is the cost of the round trip shuttle between the airport and the school.duckmoney wrote:Vandy gives more than $250.
