in all honesty though, from what a couple of friends who go there have told me is that it is extremely competitive due to the job prospects which really aren't that great. most graduates go into private practice. however the campus is amazing and theres a subway right inside of the law school.

I know a former Dean of UM Law and although i cant directly answer your questions. She actually recommended FIU over UM these days because the cost of tuition compared to FIU, when you can get just as good an education there, if not even better.

I have heard the same thing, and although the education may be superior the lack of Alumni and ranking of program makes me somewhat worried about job prospects.

If you want to work in FL after ls, why not look into FSU/UF? They're like half the price as Miami.

personal reasons are most likely going to restrict me to south FLA. I also may not have the numbers for UF...find out in December.

I'm not familiar with S Florida or Florida in general for that matter, what's your issue with it?
