keep working. it would suck, but at least we'd have the bulk of our student loans paid off if i started in 2011 instead of 2010.

Probably just fill a backpack full of drugs and disappear to Europe.

Something like this. If I can't get into some of my safeties with my numbers, I know that I have officially failed at life.

Cry, scrabble around for a paralegal job, try again in a couple years? Move to a state where you can sit the bar after being a paralegal for a certain number of years? (F you law school!)
But yeah, if I didn't get into some of my safeties at least, I'd have to do some hard thinking and probably get religion or something.

Continue working at my crap job. Though I'm moving out of my parents house next August school or not. I'll probably buy a car to make myself feel better.
I've decided its t14 (or $$$ at UIUC/WUSTL/ND) or bust for me because of the economy. So I'm prepared for it.

Re: Lets Say You Don't Get In LS this Cycle, What Would You Do?
Stay at my current job and save up more money for law school starting in 2011. I will be bummed but in some ways it would probably be smarter to wait a year anyway (and I haven't ruled that out - it depends on how I do on the LSAT and some other factors). I have already decided that I am not paying sticker price at a non-T14, so if I don't do as well as I am hoping on the LSAT I will probably take it again and apply the following year, or just give up on it.
In some ways waiting until 2011 might be better for me, because I am afraid that taking the December LSAT will put me at a disadvantage for this year, it's hard to figure out where to apply without having an actual LSAT score to guide my choices, and the longer I wait, hopefully the better the job prospects when I get out, given the current state of the economy. Plus, this may sound silly to those of you who are not as obsessed with politics as I am, but I am not thrilled about the prospect of my critical 2L summer being in 2012, because even though I currently feel a little burnt out and am looking to go to law school because I decided I don't want to make politics a full-time career, I am still worried about whether I'd be able to fully focus on a non-political job three months before a presidential election.
I am anxious to start law school though, so I will be kind of bummed if I don't get into my top choice schools this year. But I am not going to give up a good-paying job (that probably pays higher than some of the jobs I could get out of law school, since I am interested in public interest/government) to pay full price at a school that isn't worth it in terms of job prospects. Even if I get into a top school, I am not sure I will go this year, for all of the reasons mentioned above. I am really ambivalent, because part of me has my heart set on going to law school, but in my head I am wondering if I am about to make the biggest mistake of my life.

Re: Lets Say You Don't Get In LS this Cycle, What Would You Do?
I most likely won't get in to the 3 state schools I applied to because I bombed the LSAT, though my GPA is high, but still compared to other folks...wellllll. you know how that goes.
So. I will continue working in my decent paying general construction admin assistant position, keep looking for anything in the legal field, re-study and re-take the LSAT this summer, apply to the same law schools again, pay off my car loan, save money, and go on vacation to Mexico and anywhere else I can think of. and try not to cry. too much! or at least not get majorly depressed.

If you didn't get into a law school, it probably means you would have no scholarship at even a mediocre school. If that's the case, count your blessings that you didn't get in and be forced to live a life of debt servitude. Seriously, praise whatever God/spirit/nothing you worship and move on with your life. If you re-apply with your mediocre LSAT score, please register on JDUnderground now.
