38, thank goodness. I was a mess in my 20s and I'm sure law school would have been a disaster. Like a fine wine, I have improved with age. Plus, I won't have to take time away from my career to have babies, as that's already been taken care of (the "babies" are 12 now).

35. I'm so excited to be surrounded by a bunch of kids in their mid-20s... I know from experience that it will just make me forget that I'm 35!
When I went back to finish undergrad I was 26... and being surrounded by 18-21 year olds was delightful
Well on my way to being a dirty old man.

i have a friend who skipped a year of elementary school, a year of high school, and graduated college in 3 years just short of her 19th birthday. she's now a 2L and still can't go out to bars.
biglaw partner by age 30, retirement at 40.
i should marry her.

I will be just about to turn 32, like many on here have already said, I will be glad to be around younger folks, and I am loving the thought of being back in school. The whole process has been nostalgic.

I'll be 22 which is more or less average.
But how do some people get entered at 19 and 20? Thats kickass. Is it because you are foreign students or just overachievers making the rest of us look bad?

it seems that the average for most schools is more like 24 or so.Ragged wrote:I'll be 22 which is more or less average.

Eh, if I had the chance to go when I was 19 or 20, I would take some time off between UG and LS and do something interesting.

Age is a subjective number and does not properly, or even come close, to assessing vitality and overall mental ability, therefore I cannot answer. Also it requires the assumption that time is linear, which it is not.
+1 on what Helm said. Time between UG and LS should be time spent doing whatever you objectively think is best for you to do based on the fact you are alive. That will be pretty hard to do in LS if LS is not that answer.

Re: How old will you be when you enter law school?
what an absolutely ridiculous comment. Age, having a strictly defined meaning, is by definition objective, while what one thinks is best for himself is entirely, by definition, subjective.SabermetricFan wrote:Age is a subjective number and does not properly, or even come close, to assessing vitality and overall mental ability, therefore I cannot answer.
