Ethics Q. About ED and Withdrawals as a Splitter

It's req'd that I withdraw from all other schools once I get accepted as an ED applicant, but I am a splitter and could contribute to the sparse data about splitters if I waited out my applications. Of course, there is a slight ethical dilemma here, but I would admit it leans in favor of withdrawing other apps.

Side question: is the withdrawal requirement a contract, or could my not following it be reason enough for a school to go back on an ED offer?

It depends on the language of the ED, but yes it is essentially a contract requiring you to withdraw all other applications when admitted within a certain amount of time. There is no reason to put off withdrawing your applications, because the minimal value provided by an additional data point on LSN is far outweighed by abiding by the terms of the ED requirements.

If you've been admitted ED, just withdraw the rest and move on.
