Hey everyone I had a few questions about Baltimore.
I'm interested in Baltimore if I don't end up landing in a bigger city with high pay.
What schools are good for Baltimore? Would top 40% at GW or UMD (or AU) be adequate for some of the more established large Baltimore firms?
What is the pay in Baltimore for lawyers at large firms?
It's really really hard to find any good information on this site regarding Baltimore...thanks!

Re: Baltimore legal market questions
Baltimore is a highly insular market, and there are only a few SA spots each year. I wouldn't go to a D.C. school if I were set on Baltimore. U. Maryland or U. Baltimore is your best bet, but you will need to be top of the class for biglaw. You'll also need to be from Maryland or have close ties there. At least one big firm pays NYC market, but several don't.

Baltimore BL takes Ivys, top 10% at UMD, top 10% at UB, and top-miniscule-% at a D.C. school. Top 40% at GW or AU will almost definitely not get you Baltimore.
Cosign philosoraptor on how insular Baltimore is; it's the kind of city where people care more about where you went to high school than where you went to UG.
Firm pay follows secondary / southern market, I think most firms are at 145 right now.
