GPA calculation

Hello all, I have a question about how Law school GPAs are calculated. I am a Canadian applying to US law schools and wondering if they convert the letter grade on a transcript to the corresponding 4.33 scale or the actual mark (0-100) and convert it to the 4.33 scale. Thanks
