Does being older hurt your chances of transferring law sch

Post by sarcasticbug » Thu Jan 29, 2015 7:37 pm

I have a 3.3 UGPA and 176 LSAT score. Naturally I am aiming for T-14. I am a non-traditional student, (30) years old. I know general consensus is not to go to law school wishing to transfer. But, suppose after the 1st year I am able to, I was just wondering, does being 30 or in your 30s play against you as far as transfers goes? or is just mainly your ranking and 1L grades?

has anyone in their 30s transferred up?

What why would it

you can already get T14, why are you worried about transferring?

Wouldn't be at all relevant to your transfer chances? But as you said, never ever go to a school with the intention of transferring. Always assume you will graduate from the school you first choose.

mylsn.info shows 4 out of 4 applicants with your numbers were admitted to NYU and 3 out of 4 were admitted to Michigan with $. I would just apply to CCN down and see what sticks.

30 isn't even that old.
It won't matter one bit for transferring, but I bet you'll get into a great law school as is so transferring shouldn't be an issue.

I'm 30+. Will this have an effect on how my exams will be graded?
