Are we talking median wealth or average? Are we talking rich as in assets or liquid capital. I'm sure there are schools that are rural off the map where there are kids attending that would raise the entire school net worth quite a bit since land values have increased so much but this isn't liquid capital.
You can find HNWI&F at every school so it is sort of a stupid question. You have to remember that in the HNW world which I consider to start at around 25m+ (although that is relatively pretty pauper) people are a lot more mobile and education means a lot less. It's your contacts and access to capital that matter. My rural state school boasts a lot of families in the 30m-90m range for directly attainable assets and a few between 100m-600m and that's a rural state with under 1m in population that attend public state schools and a few go to private easternly schools.
Although where their kids go to school is irrelevant since at this point in my state the majority of businesses and land are already in 3rd or 4th generation, the majority of aggregate/ballast/mineral railroad construction is 5th now entering 6th generation of ownership. Meat packing is currently at the 3rd/4th generation although that's a little far fetched since a lot of the original money from the railroad meatpacking backrolled the industry in 1960 when the shift occurred to move meatpacking away from the major metro areas and to the rural areas for livestock and poultry.
The families own the businesses and the people who actually ask questions like the OP are the ones that work them as employees and make sure that these families stay wealthy. A lot of the crap that Forbes etc doesn't do well or keep track of is old money and families. When one person doesn't have all of their worth in a newly formed public company it's hard to estimate their NW.
It's a lot harder to nail down the net worth of old money especially when people don't remember families that took big pay days 20,30,50,100 years ago from insurance, banking, railroads, interstate construction, telecom, security etc. and it's sitting in trusts, ranches, or in offshore accounts.
TLDR: Stupid OP question unless it is narrowed down to what we're talking about for defining wealth.
