Why does USC rank higher than UCLA? UCLA's LSAT/GPA median is pretty high for only 23% of grads to get biglaw. Anyone in the LA area know how employment is for USC/UCLA grads?

Thanks.

For starters, USC's class size is roughly 150 people smaller. As for placement in Southern California, many firms with larger classes will take roughly an equal number of students from USC and UCLA. Thus, USC's percentage of students placed into BigLaw is somewhat higher.

USC tends to have a slightly more loyal alumni network too (especially over UCLA), which has helped them not lose as much ground with the lower hiring rates.
