My GPA after first semester (3.97) was pretty good, but I bombed my second semester because I failed one of my classes (Biology 2) on attendance. (Our school has a policy where if you miss 25% or more of your scheduled class days, you automatically receive a failing grade. I was bummed out because I received the notice a week before finals, and I had an A in the class..)
I am thinking about transferring to another UG school because of financial reasons.
I will be submit my application next year during the 2013 Spring semester, and I will (hopefully) start school as a junior at another university starting from the 2013 Fall semester.
My question is: if I have two years' worth of credits at one university, and two years' (or possibly more) at another university, how will the LSAC calculate my GPA? Will the LSAC still look at the GPA I obtained at my first university? Does it help that the class I didn't do well on isn't related to my major (political science)?
Thank you for your time.
