Posner claimed that schools with the best business law faculty quality are:
1. Harvard
2. Columbia
3. Stanford and UChicago

Are these schools the best schools for corporate law?

Yale is the best for corporate law because it gives YOU the best chance to get into WLRK, the best corporate law firm. Similarly, it will give you the best chance at all the other top corporate law firms. Harvard is second best. Columbia is third best. See where I'm going with this?

In essence, who gives a damn how good the faculty in a given area is? If you want to do corporate law, you want to get into the top corporate law firms and work for the best partners in that area.

Faculty quality is about publishing, not teaching quality. And all the papers the top corporate law professor publishes are available on Westlaw for the kids at other schools to read.

Now if you are an aspiring academic and want to be a corporate law guru, I would agree with Posner except UChicago is clear 3 whereas Stanford is 4.

It's Harvard and then the other schools.
