Top Law Schools

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I am a couple years out of UG with a BS in Construction Science and Management and have been working as Quality Control Manager and Assistant Project Manager on government contracts. I have been researching law school and wanting to go on to do construction litigation since UG. I went for the quick money when I graduated, but it is still my goal to go on to law school. I had some questions about getting into law with this type of major.

Would this help or hurt on law school applications compared to the majority of applicants with liberal arts degrees? I have seen many firms have construction practices, but how realistic is construction litigation as a goal? Will my education and experience give me an advantage at firms with this kind of practice? If I couldn't get on with a firm that had a construction practice, would my background hurt me with other firms?

It will neither hurt you or help.

Some do, but they aren't doing very hot because as you know construction is dead right now. I'd imagine it would give you a leg up, but I also imagine everyone trying to get construction law has some background.

In regards to your major question, it's irrelevant for law schools so long as you to an accredited 4-year university.

I have no idea about whether construction litigation is a realistic goal.
