I was admitted to the Nova aample program, but I am trying to decide between the online and in class program? Can anyone tell me how involved the ORIENTATION was for the aample online or in class session. Any information and advice would be appreciated! :)

Retake. DO NOT DO IT.
Ok, a guy that I work with took the aample in person class and it cost him a couple of thousand dollars and he still didn't get in.
The only reason to go to nova is if you are restricted to that area and they give you a scholarship.
RETAKE.

I think you should do it in person. I have lots of friends who did it and we're very successful and DID GET IN :). In matter of fact a lot of them do better than my friends who were admitted the "normal way". I think if you do the work and are dedicated you can do it.
I'm surely going to try :).

Good luck!

This is the craziest idea ever. AAMPLE cost around $3500 and you only have around a 50% success rate at a bad school with bad job prospects. http://nsulaw.nova.edu/aample/faq.cfm

"Not all students who complete the AAMPLE ® program are admitted to the Nova Southeastern University Law class. There is no "quota" on the number of AAMPLE ® students who will be admitted to the NSU Law Center. All those who are deemed successful (2.5 Cumulative GPA and a "C" or better in both classes) are offered admission into the NSU Law Center. The success rate has varied in the 24 years plus that the Law Center has offered the program.

"The success rates for the following years of the Online AAMPLE ® program are as follows:
On campus
2005 -

2006 - 45%

2007 - 39%

2008 - 42%

2009 - 49%

2010 - 62%

2011 - 50%"

Why don't you use half of the money that you would put towards AAMPLE and hire a tutor, kick ass on the LSAT, and get into a real school, or even get into Nova with a scholarship.
DO NOT PAY THIS SCHOOL $3500. YOU ARE BEING ROBBED.

I think that if its something you really want to do in life and it isn't about money or personal gain, then you should do what you feel is best for you. At the end of the day if you don't love what you do and do it for the wrong reasons you may not feel as happy. I know an attorney who completed this program some years ago and doesn't need job prospects. He has a wonderful law firm which is very successful. He helps lots of people and loves what he does. He is his own boss. In this world if you didn't take chances then what's the point. Again, do what's right for you. Any one of us could give you an opinion, but remember only you know your study habits, if you having testing anxiety for whatever reasons you chose to go ahead with this program. I say best of luck and do you, cause no else will.

Plus I know someone who graduated from Stetson top 10% and is no where. So let your heart lead you.

Ok, so you know one guy that did this and it worked out so you should do it? The argument about doing what your head tells you is best to do is bullshit, because if your head tells you that doing AAMPLE at Nova is a good idea then you probably don't have the analytical or reasoning skills to make a good attorney in the first place. This is just a bad decision no matter how you look at it.
If you want to go to Law school do it in a way that makes sense. Why would you pay $3500 when you could use less of that money to take a course or get a tutor to get in as a regular student, get into a better school, or go to that school with a scholarship. I just don't understand why you pay Nova $3500 for a 50% chance. Nova isn't even worth going to at full price without having to use AAMPLE to get accepted.
I am not fucking with you. This is an awful idea.
Use the $3500 to get a badass tutor and a course and work your ass off so you can get accepted to UF.

The only thing worse than failing AAMPLE is actually going to NOVA.

Barry for the international writs of assistance arbitration clinic.

Nova's international space procedure law is second to none, though

My name is Matt and I did AAMPLE 2011 and am a current student at NOVA. I went through the boot camp to get into his program and know what is required. AAMPLE is truly a challenge and is worth pursuing as long as you understand the risks,, genuinely want to attend NOVA, are prepared to put in a ton of time. If you have questions about AAMPLE, I can be reached directly at lorer321@yahoo.com. Do not be afraid to ask a question or 2. I would be glad to help.

Has anyone brought the notes, flashcards and study material from a user called aample help?

From what I've read so far... its just 2 class and if you have the materials.. its just memorization and reiterating the concepts.

Just wondering if it's worth $150.00..

Yes I did.

I figured why not. Bought them a couple months ago and have done a decent amount of studying.
The best thing in the pack was a concept map which as I have been reviewing along with the outline that I have created.
I intend on reworking it as our classes in AAMPLE start.

Do you want it?

ps I am in the nova law library, been here all week getting a head start learning course materials and creating an outline.

I have a friend who owns a law firm down here who completed AAMPLE back in 99 or 2000. He said it was the best thing that ever happened to him.
AAMPLE puts you to the test to see if your are capable of studying and learning the tricks.

They gave us a CD for 4th amend. w/ 700+ pages of text. Are you stupid enough to print it all and pretend to read it all? NO you should review the cases and find briefs for each case. Figure out the significant decisions in each case to see the big picture. OUTLINE OUTLINE OUTLINE

At the end of the course you take ONE test to see if you figured out the big picture or not.
