Conventional wisdom says that either you will get married or it will end horribly. I dabbled in lawcest first semester and regretted it when it first ended, but it's been 3 months since I've nailed law school tail and I actually now talk to my former conquests like I never slept with them. There is little to no awkwardness. Of course, my situation may be different because the 3 girls I slept with never developed deeper feelings (nor did I).

A shit ton of people paired off in the few first months of school, and now I know of 1 couple that has actually stayed together. Part of the initial hookups are novelty and that connections can be forged pretty quickly by being surrounded by the same goddamn people every day of the week.

Generally, as long as you're respectful if and when it does go sour, you will be fine (goes for relationships outside law school too, I suppose).

Is Ole Miss still accepting applications?

The plural of Barrister's Ball should be reformed ASAP. Especially when combined with the words "pop up".

I got an email from them, so they must be.....

My wife has told me she would frown on me dating other students though, be it undergrads or law students.

I know some seemingly happy law school couples... I know one couple that ended up married.

I know many, many others that now awkwardly avoid one another in the halls

YMMV

a guy in my section asked a girl that sits next to him out on a date and she said no. that's a really awkward semester of sitting next to each other.

My 3L best friend at a T-14 just got engaged to a guy from her 1L section. Not a bad idea... he's a great guy.

If you must date fellow students, then date outside your year: 1L<->2L, 2L<->3L, etc.

Subtle "I go to a T14" trolling
critical part of the story, amirite? fairytales happen at T14 or gtfo

I don't go to a T-14, so there's no trolling. And if my LSAT logic hasn't failed me, that does not mean people at TTT's do not find love. ;-)

I feel like USNWR should include and rank the attractiveness of the other law students/susceptible undergrads that think attorneys make a lot of money.

Yale would be TTT in a matter of minutes.

One broken loveless marriage for 8 years of world domination?

I'll take it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
