Roger Williams University. Their ads aren't intrinsically annoying, per se, but the fact that they have sent me ten emails over the past 3 weeks is pretty infuriating, especially considering I have asked to be taken off their mailing list after every single one.

Dear Roger Williams: I grew up right across the bridge from your joke of a law school. I know how bad your reputation is, even in your home state, despite being the only law school in Rhode Island. STOP CONTACTING ME.

Don't know if its been mentioned before, but does anyone else think its really weird how much advertising Regent does? You would think an extremely Christian law school would have a pretty niche market, and students who wanted that would self select into applying there.

Another from Regent today. Tulsa too. I really should ask Regent how going there will help my career goals of protecting a woman's right to choose.

My cycle was LAST YEAR and I'm still getting Regent and Notre Dame emails constantly. Granted, I haven't enrolled yet (deferred a year), but I am committed to a school, TYVM!

I really love the emails I've been getting where the school tells its rank this year and compares it to its previous rank.

"We suck marginally less than we used to! Apply now!"

Is it normal to get this many ads this late in the cycle?

And a bunch are from very good regional schools.

I don't know about that, but I got a fee waiver from Columbia (where I have no chance) about a week before the deadline.

Did you apply?

I think I would have had to do it.... (Even with no chance myself.)

Absolutely not! I was offended that they think I'm dumb enough to offer myself up as a sacrificial lamb for their selectivity metric. I don't need anyone getting free entertainment off my personal statement, either. They can read the book when it comes out if they want.

I wonder if anyone has responded to New England, Valpraiso, and Pace and asked for their comments on the report that they are on the list to be next in line to be sued

I have gotten ads/fee waivers from 9 different schools this week...including some from some strong regionals...I searched the forums and this is slightly unusual.

Alabama was the one that surprised me. That and they really extended their app deadline if the Mar 1 deadline was accurate to begin with.

Don't get me wrong, I am still getting all the TTTT adds too but there are a lot of T1 and TT adds and waivers as well....

Aside from Bama where I have ties and would love to go back, it hasn't changed where I am applying but just wondering if it was this way every cycle.

I count 16 schools sending at least one email in the past 5 days offering fee waivers, with some sending several emails. The worst offenders were Phoenix, Florida Coastal, Drexel, St. Thomas and Case Western. Apparently requests to not email that address mean nothing

My (black, lesbian, radically liberal) friend kept getting solicitations from Regent, so she emailed them back politely asking what opportunities were available for LGBT students. They stopped emailing her after that.
