I'm unearthing this thread.

I've been teaching for two years and the majority of my wardrobe is business casual--A LOT of skirts and tops, dresses w/ tights, boots, and flats/gladiator sandals (I may or may not have a slight addiction to PaylessShoeSource). Otherwise I have ratty jeans and too many high school and UG club t-shirts to count.

Obviously slovenly jeans with unintentional crotch holes isn't going to cut it, but will my business casual clothing make me "that girl" in class?

No, lots of people dress up, and no one cares what you wear anyway unless you look like a whore.
