Why does this simulator say my hypothetical chances for NYU are lower than for Columbia (consider and strong consider, respectively)?

I used 3.54 and 177.

Some schools weight LSAT more than GPA and vise-versa. Also, LSP is based off of self-reported numbers. Because of this, only people that use law school numbers (that's where LSP gets their numbers from, I believe) are factored into your chances. This may leave the chart with a slightly skewed.

LSP is a decent starting point, but http://lawschoolnumbers.com is much better. Either way, someone with those stats is almost an auto admit at both schools

It's a very rough estimate. Use lawschoolnumbers.com. You'll see that virtually everyone with those numbers gets into NYU and a large percentage get into CLS.
