Fee Waivers

Hey I'm kind of confused. My advisor told me with my LSAT score I could be eligible for application fee waivers. He said it was just about checking a box in the profile. But is this different from the "fee waiver" section on LSAC. That says it's just for people with extreme need for the waivers?

How do we know if we get a fee waiver for each school? Do we apply individually, does it show up under "my school list" or what?

I'm sorry that this is an obvious thing, I just really need some help.

Thanks.

It is different than the need-based fee waiver.

Basically, the schools are able to see your stats and if they want to offer you a fee waiver they will, usually by email (although there can be some hidden fee waivers). If you've checked the box, you should be receiving these emails from schools that allow you to apply for free, no need to do anything more.
