Invitations to apply and fee waivers
Just wondering why some people are solicited with invitations to apply (maybe some with fee waivers?) and others, like myself, are not. I got a pretty decent LSAT score in Feb...why no mass emails and letters?

Prob b/c you took the Feb one. You'll most likely start getting emails in Aug/Sept.

How do these work? Are they based strictly on LSAT numbers? Do only crap schools give them out?

As far as I know, they are generally based on LSAT numbers. But some schools supposedly offer to lower-scoring applicants to increase their selectivity rate.flounder wrote:How do these work? Are they based strictly on LSAT numbers? Do only crap schools give them out?
And no, good schools give them out too.
If you took the test in Feb, be sure to update your application year to receive the waivers for this cycle. And if you're not getting a waiver from the schools you want, email them to apply for one. I was pretty successful with this and only paid for 2 apps.

Thanks for the replies! I will make sure my application year is set to this upcoming cycle.

Hmmm, can't seem to find where to update my application year on LSAC...
Edit: Never mind, I got it.
